"We
have just returned from our third charter holiday with Menorca
Cruising. There's a reason why we return - apart from the fact
that the island is unbeatable, Menorca Cruising is simply excellent.
For the record we were on the Beneteau 473.
As a sailing destination
Menorca is great. If you are looking for a gentle family holiday,
make sure to check out the prevailing winds at the time - either
the north or the south coast will give you sheltered waters,
and you are spoiled for choice of anchorages with beaches. If
you are fortunate the winds will be fine for a trip right round
the island during the week. (More enthusiastic sailors could
do this in a day, but then you would miss out on so much....).
Our last trip was
at the end of August, peak time, but at times we still still
found ourselves on our own in idyllic coves. The beaches are
just perfect, and very well kept.
John, Liz, Katey
and all at Menorca Cruising are great hosts, seemingly in permanent
good humour! The yachts are kept in great condition; it is one
thing to keep a yacht up to coding standard but these yachts
have more than that - a lot of attention is paid to the detail
in the maintenance. Also, the domestic side is well taken care
of - the galley supplies and linen were all excellent.
In summary, it was a
great holiday, made all the better by Menorca Cruising. We'll
be back."
